What was school like?
What did children learn back then?
Was every child forced to go to go to school?
Did they have homework? If yes what was it?

How did the children help back then
Were the girls treated differently then the boys?
We HAVE LEARNED ABOUT SCHOOLS, CLOTHING WHAT PEOPLE DID AT HOME AND WHAT THEY ATE. WE LEARNED ABOUT THE northern SOUTHERN AND MIDDLE COLONIES. We also going to start about the games kids play. We are reading about what they did in school what the cloths is made out of and we decided that we are not doing food anymore we changed it to games that kids played. Clothing
Used berries, roots,and leaves for dye
Kids dressed exactly like their parents
Wealthy colonists copied styles from England

Corn saved most colonists from starvation
Brought seeds for peas, onions,and carrots
Were taught to grow corn from Squanto, a near by Indian
Cider and beer were common drinks
Breakfast was usually mush
Lunch was usually stew
Dinner was usually leftovers with bread and cheese

After tutoring, few boys attended college in England
Only upper class children had tutors
Lessons took place in the student's homes
Tutors soon were like part of the family
Girls learned to weave,spic,cook,and sew
If a boy whispered or giggled, they would sit with the girls and if a girl whispered or giggled, they would sit with the boys
Had harsh punishments for not behaving appropriately
everybody in town not just families with children paid for a school
Many people paid with corn
